Sven Reinmann
Death's favorite
Info
Name: Sven Reinmann
Age: 37
Class: Former Knight
Birthplace: Germany, Holy Roman Empire
Family: N/A
Death: Currently inside his head and yapping about Dragons
Sven grew up on the streets, his lowborn status ensuring distrust from the nobles. He never knew his parents, as they were killed when he was an infant. He always assumed their deaths were orchestrated by the Emperor, though he lacked any proof. At the age of eight, a small raid struck the village where he lived. During the chaos, Sven’s powers manifested for the first time. Shadows enveloped his attacker, choking the life out of him. Horrified by what he had done, Sven began to fear himself. The villagers, terrified of his abilities, turned on him, forcing him to flee. While running through the woods, Sven encountered a knight bearing the symbol of an unknown faction. This knight took him in, teaching him how to survive and, more importantly, how to accept and control his powers. Under the knight’s guidance, Sven began to see his abilities not as a curse but as a tool. By the age of seventeen, Sven was on his own, having parted ways with his mentor. He wandered for a year before taking on the mantle of a Knight of Death, dedicating his life to serving the god of the underworld. His early adulthood was spent traveling across the known world, fulfilling the duties expected of him as a knight. While in Egypt, Sven stumbled upon an unmarked pyramid in the desert. Exhausted and desperate for shelter, he rested within the tomb. When he awoke, he was attacked by a shadowy figure that emerged from the darkness. Though he managed to escape, he knew the encounter had left its mark. Days later, while traveling to Jerusalem, he began coughing up blood and collapsed on the road. In his dreams, the God of Death appeared to him, revealing that their fates were now intertwined. When Sven awoke, he found himself in a temple dedicated to the Goddess of Light, a healer tending to his weakened body. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a shadowy figure with glowing red eyes—the God of Death, who now existed as a presence only he could see. Despite his condition, Sven continued his knightly duties, though the strain of frequent blood-coughing began to take its toll. At 29, he retired from his service, unable to sustain the physical demands of his role.

Name: Evrard
Age: 26
Class: Prophet
Birthplace: Iberia
Family: Unnamed Mother ✟
Evrard was born blind and out of wedlock in the sun-scorched hills of Iberia, to a deeply devout woman who worshiped the Sun Goddess with unwavering fervor. To her, his blindness was no mere misfortune—it was divine punishment, a mark of her own hidden sins. She tried, in her own fractured way, to be a good mother. But guilt is a heavy thing. Eventually, it twisted her love into fear. At her lowest, she nearly ended his life to "save" him from the curse she believed he bore—only to turn that blade inward and take her own. Evrard survived. Alone. From a young age, he saw things—felt things—before they happened. Some were mundane. Some were miracles. Most were death. That cold, familiar presence curled around his bones and whispered truths no child should know. As he grew, the visions became more vivid, more violent, more inescapable. He learned to keep quiet. To lie. To smile with lips stained by prophecy. He wandered through Europe and into Asia, pulled forward by instincts and unseen strings. In Egypt, his visions turned brutal and relentless, as if death itself were reaching through him like a puppeteer. One day, he stumbled into a temple mid-ritual and sensed a healer tending to a man who radiated the stench of decay—not physically, but spiritually. That man was Sven. Evrard followed him. Without really knowing why, he journeyed at his side for months. Sven never questioned it. Eventually, their paths diverged, like threads pulled loose from a tapestry neither of them could read. Now, Evrard resides within the Holy Roman Empire, a land that worships Light and spits on Death. He earns his living as a prophet—though most of his readings are carefully tailored lies. His real visions are rarely what people want to hear: the time, place, and flavor of their inevitable demise. And sometimes, the visions don’t wait. They hit him like a storm, uninvited and merciless, leaving him shaking and bloodied by truths too sharp to hold. Still, he endures. Because death isn't his enemy. It's his only friend.
"Our lady, our Righteous Lady."

Lore of Our Righteous Lady
The Lady of Justice was a mortal woman who became a Goddess, one of the first of her kind. She was devoted to the people and was close friends with the Goddess of the Sun; some even said they were lovers. Tragically, her beloved was slain by a corrupted noble, which led her to shed tears over their body. From those tears, magic was born, resulting in her blindness and allowing her to bear the God of Death. As a consequence of giving birth to the God of Death, she was also considered the Goddess of Fertility, although many religions dismiss this claim.Nevertheless, we, as Worshippers of Justice, choose to uphold this truth. After the year 1100, all traces of her mortal form vanished. We believe it is our duty to continue her legacy.

Name: Doran Renou
Age: 35
Class: Knight
Birthplace: France
Family: Queen Vivienne (mother), Sir Geoffrey (Father), King Thibault (Step-father)
Doran was born in France, the son of an English diplomat and a French court healer gifted in magic. Spending more time with his mother than his often-absent father, Doran admired her deeply. By nine, he was captivated by knights and formed a close friendship—and secret infatuation—with a boy training as one. At twelve, he convinced his mother to let him train and joined his friend for a session that ended in a magical accident. He awoke in the infirmary to find his friend gone and his parents arguing. His mother revealed he could no longer stay in France, and his father took him to England, keeping him close on diplomatic travels. At seventeen, Doran discovered the reason for his exile: he bore the mark of Lady Justice, a divine sign that the French court rejected. Determined to understand its meaning, Doran left home, and by eighteen, he encountered knights who recognized his mark as a calling. They trained him to serve their goddess.By twenty-four, Doran returned to France as a Knight of Justice, only to find his mother remarried to the King of France and with a new family. Devastated, he renounced his birth name and adopted the surname Renou, meaning "reborn." At twenty-nine, he returned to England for his father’s funeral, forming a close bond with the Prince of England, his father’s former ward, and gaining the trust of the English king.At thirty-three, Doran set out into the world, devoted to his vow: to bring justice to those in need, guided by the goddess who had shaped his destiny.
Lady of Betrayal, Lady of Light
Lore of Light
Lady of Light was a mortal turned god in about 749 B.C.E. Why she ascended to Godhood is unknown, scrolls being unlegible or destroyed. It is known that she had a close, maybe even romantic relationship with the Goddess of Justice. The Holy Roman Empire refutes that, stating it was simply a mistranslation. Historians of Light have found evidence that she was a mother figure to the God of Hunt, including letters between them that they cannot yet translate. The Lady of Light died around 888. The reason is still unknown, people pinned the blame on the God of Death (which isn't possible as he was not born until after Lady Justice was grieving the corpse of Lady Light). Others believe that Justice herself killed Lady Light; which once again, scholars don't believe this was the case. Other Creeds' translations suggest that the Frankish people may be responsible for her death, as the God of the Hunt rampaged to avenge their mother.
Rachelle Courvoisier
Info
Name: Rachelle Courvoisier
Age: 32
Class: Knight
Birthplace: Aquitaine, France
Title: Duchess of Aquitaine
Family: Madeleine Courvoisier(mother), Noé Courvoisier (father)
Rachelle was born in Aquitaine, France, into a life of privilege as the daughter of a Duke and Duchess. Initially, she was groomed for a future as a wife and mother. However, her destiny changed when she received the marking of the Sun Goddess. Her parents sent her to the Holy Roman Empire to train with the Knight Sun Guild. Because of her noble background and her status as a ward of Emperor Sigismund, she received preferential treatment during her training. Her natural talent and dedication allowed her to surpass her peers, earning her knighthood earlier than most. At the age of 25, Rachelle embarked on a journey across Europe and Asia with two senior knights. Their travels came to a tragic end in the Novgorod Republic when the senior knights were killed in a sword fight. Forced to fend for herself, Rachelle endured a perilous journey back to the Holy Roman Empire, fighting off thieves along the way and gaining new scars as proof of her trials. Upon her return, the Emperor decided it was best for her to remain in the Empire, fearing diplomatic tensions with France should the daughter of a Duke go missing. Rachelle resented this restriction, feeling as though she was once again trapped by her noble status, much like she had been in France. However, the quieter life offered her opportunities to secretly flirt with noblewomen, including the Emperor’s young wife. Their clandestine affair was brief, ending when the Emperor grew suspicious. The fallout left Rachelle with even greater disdain for him. Eventually, Rachelle was stationed at a Temple of the Sun, far from the capital. Despite the distance, she continued to exchange secret letters with the Empress until both agreed to end the correspondence for fear of discovery. Over the years, Rachelle was in and out of the Empire, resuming her travels at the age of 30. During her journeys, she experienced light romances with women from various countries. Now, she has returned to the Holy Roman Empire, at least for the time being.
The Hunter

Lore of the Hunter
The Hunter, also known as Ilias (though we are worshippers only refer to them as The Hunter in respect). The Hunter is a mysterious figure whose origins remain unclear. It is unknown whether they were born into the world or simply manifested. Their existence is said to have begun around 824 BCE on a small, cold island, possibly what is now known as Greenland. We as worshippers see the struggle in survival without having people and those we trust nearby. What many people do not know is that our Hunter is also the God of Revenge, Bows, and Deer. We respect all others who worship other Gods, as they all have their own struggles and reason to pick them.

God of Hunt, Revenge, Bows, and Deer
Iilas, known as the God of the Hunt, is a mysterious figure whose origins remain unclear. It is unknown whether they were born into the world or simply manifested. Their existence is said to have begun around 824 BCE on a small, cold island, possibly what is now known as Greenland. Without a parent or guardian, Iilas learned to hunt independently, surviving on rabbits and other now-extinct animals. In 834, when Iilas was about ten years old, they encountered the Goddess of Light, who discovered them in Greenland. The Goddess took Iilas under her care and brought them to the Frankish Empire, which at the time was under attack by Danish Vikings. The Goddess tried to provide Iilas with clothing more suited to the Frankish culture, but Iilas refused, preferring the clothes they had made for themselves. The garments offered by the Goddess resembled those worn by Frankish women, and Iilas, who was neither Frankish nor a woman, rejected what they saw as unnecessary cultural conformity. Despite facing judgment and misunderstanding from the Frankish people, Iilas managed to endure. By 888, Iilas, estimated to be in their fifties, witnessed the collapse of the Frankish Empire and the formation of multiple kingdoms. They fled to the Kingdom of Wessex, where they remained for over a century, slowly gaining a following of worshipers drawn to their divine title. Eventually, Iilas returned to what had become the Kingdom of France and learned of the tragic death of the Goddess of Light. Consumed by rage, they embarked on a vengeful rampage, targeting nobles and anyone involved in the plot to kill the Goddess. Their merciless actions earned them the grim title 'Light's Revenge.' To ensure those they killed received no proper burials, Iilas consumed the bodies, an act of spite and defiance. After disposing of the bodies, Iilas sought out the Goddess of Light's lover, who had been left blind after forming a son through tears. Explaining the blood on their mouth proved difficult, but Iilas stayed close to the Goddess of Justice and the God of Death in the years that followed. However, as corruption seeped into the pantheon, Death succumbed to a destructive rampage, and Justice disappeared entirely. With no allies remaining, Iilas returned to the Kingdom of France and secluded themselves in a deep forest. There, they took up residence in an abandoned graveyard and reclaimed the ruins of the Church of Light as their home.
